Fine Casting Plaster is Saint-Gobain Formula's best-known plaster. If disposed of correctly it is recyclable - the waste stream is used in the manufacture of plasterboard, for instance, and as gypsum, it is one of the few materials in the world that can be recycled again with no discernible degradation to the final product. An off-white plaster of Paris type material quarried and calcined completely in England, it is intended for fibrous plasterwork production, decorative cornices, ceiling roses, and other general casting applications. So, you can be sure of a highly informed opinion on your project, get the most from our products, and discover how best to incorporate them into any new or existing building. Commonly known as plaster of Paris, all Formula branded plasters are quarried and calcined in England. Transported directly to ourselves from the manufacture, these plasters have never been on a ship or plane - their carbon footprint could hardly be lower.

The inside of a plastic container works well, and after 1/2 hour or so you can pop it out, then let cure for 24 hrs. And it sanded easily too.

This was the lid from a Rubbermaid tote. This plaster is very easy to use, simply mix per the directions (I used the 8lb bag) and you can make a nice slab for recycling your clay.

It was really easy to use and set up well. Easy to mix, I recommend a flexible plaster bowl though.
