This re-released edition is black and not the blue of the original - see photo. Still perfectly listenable, though, and the strength of the tracks I love is ineffable. It's pretty frustrating to buy a new cd and have it arrive damaged.

Sounds sublime, especially on 'Andy You're A Star'. Without a doubt the best of the band. Whilst I confess I prefer the band's later work (Imploding the Mirage is without doubt, my favourite album of recent music memory), Hot Fuss is an *insanely* phenomenal body of work, showcasing how a band from Las Vegas, America, could so seamlessly tap into the British indie consciousness, and become latter-day rock gods.

If it's not the best indie rock debut of all time, it's got to be up there, still seen as a modern classic all these years later. Excelente Words have failed me once again. The record itself looks great, and feels neat to hold - The inside sleeve is a black collage of the four band members, and it also comes with a download card so you can own the album digitally, too.
