Sprayed on (just enough to cover the area), let it sit, used a soft bristle brush and wiped off. However, it was going to take longer to get to me than I wanted so I found this stuff. I wish I took before pictures but here are the after pictures of my Freud blade. Dont forget to clean your tools!

After cleaning, the blade feels sharper even! I let it sit a few minutes, a little scrubbing with brass brush, and it looked like new. I bought this a while back but the day is the first use.

I have never cleaned saw blades before, but I am now convinced this will we a regular maintenance routine for all my saws. It didn't take much to clean my 10" table saw blade so this one bottle will last me quite some time! I also plan to use this product on my router, forstner, and drill bits, and hole saws as soon as possible Photo shows a dirty tooth on the left, clean one on the right.
