About this deal
The initials MCC for Marylebone Cricket Club, owner of Lord's is aldo on the scarf. The images include the urn containing the Ashes with the caption 'Presented to Lord Darnley in 1883', an image of the founder Thomas Lord, after whom the ground is named, the iconic weather vane of 'Father Time' and the victorian cricket pavilion with the caption 'Pavilion today' . It is a beautiful scarf, a piece of history. The central image is of a cricket match at a very different ground from that seen today with all the stands that have been built since victorian times. The caption to the cricket scene is 'The Grand Jubilee match played Monday July 10th 1837', the Golden jubilee 50th anniversary of the ground. A fabulous gift for a cricket enthusiast, not high end but rare, striking and we think gorgeous with the colours and the iconic images. Perfect gift for her/him. But these do not in our view detract from the colours and the design which is simple yet striking and very attractive with the colour scheme and the Lord's iconic images.
