It is a thin metal box that is durable as long as you take care of it. My only concern is the red plastic clip that holds the lid closed. My grandson loves his Curious George(Jack in the box). he laughs so much!

I don’t think that red clip will last very long. My grandson keeps pushing that to open the lid for The Monkey(Curious George) to pop out instead of cranking it.

He loves it so much! Great toy /gift the only bad thing is it’s really hard to push George down and close the box especially for a child . ! Gifted to my grandson.
