I’d give it six stars if I could. It’s also a very beautiful book with the photos and illustrations by Anja herself and evoking Christmas. I have always loved German biscuits and baking, but never knew where to start. There are too many recipes to choose from in this cookbook to bake this coming Advent that I am struggling to choose which ones to bake because they all look so incredible.

Definitely one of my favorite cookbooks to date. I just started to read it and have to stop now and again as it is reminding me of Christmas as a child.

I'm so impressed by the quality, it's definitely one of those special books that will be passed down the generations. A special cookbook that will certainly take pride on my bookshelf. The cover of the book is a show stopper and the photography is simple stunning. I've been baking through this book all month and it has been the most fun I've had in a long time.

The book is illustrated beautifully with photos and linocut illustrations. My copy already has lots of turned down page corners and the first round of shortbread has been gobbled up.

Such a lovely festive book with delicious advent recipes alongside such beautiful prints and photography. Highly recommend. Lovely recipes and easy to use, beautiful book full of well written info on German Christmas traditions and lovely bits about every recipe. I recommend this piece for foodies, homebakers and cookbook collectors as it not only contains perfect recipes, but a joy to read or just flipping through.
