This is a great introduction to Mr Penguin on his first foray as a professional adventurer. We’re on to the last couple of chapters now, looking forward to reading the next in the series soon! I’m happy to report I was right! Slightly naive, but giving it a go anyway and with great support from his trusty non-verbal side kick, Colin and friend Edith.
I’ve been eyeing up Alex T Smith’s books for a while, suspecting they’d be great for our family read at bed time with my seven year old. It’s very funny and well paced. The chapters are a great length for squeezing a couple in before bed time and my child could read this on their own too. My child loved this story, we’re ordering the next one.
