We had a minor issue with the item and contacted the company and they were amazing. Hardest was getting the king size mattress off!

It does have a bit in the middle to hang a light from. All the zips and flaps closed then you will have a warm and cosy sleep. It is literally pitch black inside when all closed up but enough places where you can open it up to make it lighter.
