Really like the fact it incorporated Alan Peat's sentence types, and the mix of examples and explanations along with the word lists to develop and extend vocabulary. We love things like things like this! It’s clearly set out, engaging to look at and the information provided is precise and worded clearly for primary school children to understand. The way the information is presented in categories is really useful, and there is not so much information that the pages risk being overwhelming.

The word banks are fantastic and it’s split into easy to navigate sections. I would absolutely recommend this book to support descriptive writing in the classroom. What a really useful, very reasonably-priced little book.

Just got a copy of this. The intelligence and knowledge of children on the part of the writer is palpable and it’s given me motivation to plan fun lessons - thank you! great classroom aid, for teachers and pupils alike! the price is a snip!
