Apart from that, I quite like the product, the talking aspect is of help for those with poor vision or in my casesimply to check the time at night or when in poor light. Keeping to the instructions, I found it easy to adjust, you simply press the buttonnext to 2pm for about 3 seconds and the watch picks up the signal from Anthorn in Cumbria, or thetransmitter nearest to where you are in the world. The downside of this watch is that the battery might not have much of a life-span. Only time will tell how long this one lasts!

Once set, the speaking or talking mode will click in and you can simply press the button at 2pm for thespoken time which has a mans voice speaking standard English. The Instructions state"Your watch has been fitted with a test demonstration battery. The watch itself is fine, it came with an excellent Large Print Instruction Manual which is easy to read,and straight forward.

Got this as a present for an older man. My watch took about 4 minutes to set itself.

Every other battery operated watch that I have ever purchased has hada battery that lasts several years. U just got to press it and it tell u the time so it doesn't matter if it dark
This recent purchase of a Tavistock & Jones Men's Radio Controlled watch had its good and bad points. The numbers are nice and big making it easier to read and it's easy to get it to say the date/time out loud. He loved it so far.
The watch also sets itself for BST andhas an alarm function, and hourly chime, which you can turn on/off. Surely it would not break the bank to have installed a long life batterywith every watch? Suppose it could feel a little cheap as its very light but is pretty much what i was expecting for the money and didn't want it heavy anyway.
The watch runs on a CR2032 lithiumbattery. This watch is almost perfectIt is clear to read is comfortable on the wrist it speaks at a nice level indoors and outdoors and is very easy to operate my only downside is the battery 🔋 it comes with a demo battery fitted so I will have no idea just how long it will last so that now involves a trip to a jewelers to have a battery fitted at more cost to me but if you need a watch like this you can't go wrong with this one This may need replacing or be running lowwhen you start to use the watch".
