I wish Mattel had shown the real things on the box as it might be disappointing to a child to see one thing and get another. I simply don't understand why Mattel does not have Santa driving one of the cars that is contained in the set. This stands in stark comparison to other companies who recognize their customers are loyal and that they will come back every year for something new and different in advent calendars for their collections.

I love this ! I think Mattel is selling their customers short. His favorite toys were the accessories that attached to the cars to make them snow vehicles— we’ve never seen those in the store!

I attached photos so you can see all of the toys for the 2018 version. They could have replaced a few of the duplicates with vehicles, especially a Santa one and had a truly outstanding calendar. This set is much better than the last year's advent calendar, which had some days with just stickers.

Lol, my son still said if he was only doing it one day at a time, some days would be disappointing, but as a set is is pretty good. I picked up both the 2016 and 2017 Hot Wheels advent calendars and reviewed both here on Amazon. I expected the eight vehicles which I think is actually too few for a Hot Wheels calendar, as, for the price, I would have expected at least 12. I want to mention that when I carefully opened the side of the box, I found that six of the toys had already slipped out of their window box and several more were barely hanging on.
