This makes putting it away easier as stuff unsnaps much easier, but it holds up less to rough toddler play. I was surprised to see that half of the pieces aren't really compatable with the other tracks, they have completely different modes of connection, so that was a small bummer. I got this for my 4 year old to go with his other Smart Wheels set.

It also isn't as easy for him to put together himself, especially compared to his older set. Be warned there's a whole page of stickers to aid in assembly, and the instructions for where they went weren't the best. The instructions for the track were useless to me, they were much too small, in black and white, and the print quality wasn't great. I assembled the track by going off of the box, which went great until I realized a couple pieces I was struggling with was due to them being different colors than the box showed, which my brain took ages to register.
It is pretty easy for him to figure out the right pressure to launch the monster truck successfully, and it otherwise jumps and lands without incident, which isn't the case for a lot of car tracks that involve the car flying through the air. The media could not be loaded. Overall though, my 4 year old has had a lot of fun with this set.
