I love it and I think the price is very reasonable. There is no rumble or battery in this joy con. Works like it's supposed to but my switch looks like a cut&shut!

When using the smaller screen games like Mega Man X , NES classics etc just look better. But be aware of a few things going into this. It starts working immediately when you attach it to your switch. It can only be used while attached to the Switch in handheld mode.

Only downsides I can mention are the aforementioned lack of remote play, and the lack of rumble in the controller; but it's also around half the price of buying a full joycon, so I'll take that tradeoff. After owning a switch since launch, a few months ago my left joycon started drifting.

I'd personally have preferred the option of the standard grey, blue or red. But the Switch doesn’t come with a DPad. This is a wonderful product.

It's hard to feel when you've pushed from a single direction into a diagonal one, which can be a problem when it's important to press diagonal directions quickly, like fighting games. The control stick feels very similar to the regular Switch one, and the shoulder buttons are nice and clicky. Nothing you'd notice in normal use unless you're paying very close attention though.

The upshot of this is it's fairly cheap by Nintendo standards, and it's also super light (I thought I'd recieved an empty box at first). Whereas your thumb comfortably extends when using the joystick, it claws down over the D-pad in a position that compromises control and comfort.
