But my favorite was application was sending Hi-Res Audio through it. That got me intrigued to now find the best portable Bluetooth speaker in the mid-large category. That's huge.

It's no longer being manufactured and It goes on eBay for around $350. I have yet to find a speaker that sounds remotely close to this without needing to be plugged in. I was skeptical of all the 5 star reviews, the lower ratings are what looked to be faulty units, naturally a 5 star product on amazon is questionable. The cons or negatives; It's not as rugged or stylish like my Harmon Kardon Go+Play with it's stainless steel handle but no other speaker is.

For a retail price of $449 it's much more expensive for such inferior sound quality and on par with the Monster's sound quality. The atmospheric instrumentals are lonely and eerie as are the sound effects at the end of Caroline,No. Also, in the reviews below, I don't mean to infer that higher wattage means louder sound as I know this is not true.

JBL Extreme (I own this so I have not tried the Extreme 2 but I'm sure it's very similar or better. Everybody I know who doesn't have children prefers for the speakers to be visible. In less that 30 seconds his eyes lit up, he walked back from it, cranked it up, through his hands in the air with a grin ear to ear and said YES!
