How do we size hydroculture plants?
We also provide the overall height so you understand how tall the pot is. Liners can also be cut down to size with scissors for a neater fit if they bulge inwards slightly at the top. This means the diameter of the grow pot at the top of rim x the total height of the plant including the grow pot. Soil plants - The height of the grow pot can vary slightly, but is usually slightly smaller or the same as its diameter. If the intention is to leave the plant in its grow pot and sit it directly into the Artstone planter rather than re-potting the plant directly into the planter, please ensure you select a large enough size that will have enough internal height to hide the grow pot. Note: If the shape of the planter tapers strongly at the base, it might not be wide enough for your plant to sit squarely at the bottom.

I have been using this orchid potting mix for years now and gone through 2 large bags. Package already opened when arrival.

I don't have a car so it's very difficult to get to garden centres which seem to all be out of town. It also helps to add polystyrene packaging peanuts in the centre of larger pots to avoid damp building up inside. This may be why some other reviewers had problems.

Just what I needed Seller appears sending defective item to customer. Ever since I have repotted my store bought orchid into this mixture, it has been thriving, its roots are no longer dried out and if is growing so well!

I've been able to nurture orchids with this mix that were either left for dead at work or reduced in supermarkets because of the sorry state they were in. Although on the packaging it says it contains nutrients perlite and is it open free draining mix which should promote stronger growth and green leaves. Hoping to save them🥰 with this mix of compost.

It's important not to over-water or the bark will get damp and you will get root rot. .

Got this to save my mums dying aloe vera plant. EDIT: the third picture is how my spider plant is doing now! Probably good for normal houseplants but things like snake plant would struggle in this, I think. Would very much recommend.
