A few things to mention though. I would recommend as it works, feels sturdy, easy to set up, nicely packaged and my lad loves it.

I'm sure they're going to get lots of use out of it. There is a little speaker inside the ball with a sensor. I have a friend who's a primary school teacher so she's going to have this for her PE lessons.

I can't comment on how reliable the sensor is until I have a football pump. The batteries are replaceable with LR44 batteries x 2. This is a really fun toy for kids but rather than a football I would call it a beach ball. It is very light and made out of plastic.

After you press the speaker the ball glows and counts how many times you can keep it up. Also there's a tiny section on the box that says you can't use it in wet conditions or in water unless you take the sensor out. This is a really nice ball for training feet reactions.

I don't have a football pump so something to think about if your gifting this that you need to buy a pump too. I ordered this thinking it would be like a normal football with a counter in. Although it’s a fun toy, I would not pay £19.
