The plot is complex at times and it is a book to savour rather than read quickly to avoid confusion or miss critical information. The characters themselves are also changing as they learn more about themselves and each other; I know this happens in all good stories but their flaws and preconceptions were so strong and sometimes aggressive that the changes make magical sparks fly. The Atlas Paradox is a beautifully written and clever urban fantasy that reads more like literary fiction. .

It as folded back on itself. There’s an interesting side-plot in this book, a consequence of Libby’s disappearance. I'd recommend it to all urban fantasy fans.

Throughout the book I enjoyed watching the dynamics of the group change as they started to forge relationships and unexpected alliances to rectify the events from book one. As with TA6, each chapter is told from the point of view of a different character. As well as the original narrators from book one, we hear from some additional characters this time and I particularly enjoyed hearing Gideon's point of view as I found him and his relationship with Nico intriguing.
