The ES100 can also be used as a desktop dac (external soundcard), which I haven't tried as this is not what I got it for. I suppose that the FW of the BT chip itself has been updated here and thus becomes incompatible with the old firmwares. small, but short battery life, or long battery life but huge over-ears.

This is much appreciated as I previously had a Fiio Bt1r, which was also a good little bluetooth receiver, but without the customisation, battery life and output options. - The operating buttons are not really large and easily accessible, but the whole device is tiny and light (which is a really big advantage).

There seems to be some small fixes and improvements in the equalizer (I hardly use) and in the alignment of the output power of balanced and normal operation. x version. All in all I am very pleased with this.
